The simulator has a foetal system (2) including a foetal head and simulating the behavior of at least a part of a foetus. The foetal head is connected to an actuator (8) arranged to exert a force on the head. A maternal system (3) simulates the behavior of a part of maternal body interacting with the foetus. An obstetric instrument e.g. forceps, comprises of pressure transducers (30).
