A louvre 11 comprises an elongate nose portion 16, an elongate crown portion 17 having an arched shape, and an elongate intermediate portion 18 between the nose 16 and crown 17 portions. Crown portion 17 may be convex having a first upward curved portion 17a and a second downward curved portion 17b providing low resistance to air flow. Nose portion 16 may be non vertical, may have a convex upper surface and may comprise a lip 23 turned inwards. An elongate gutter 21 on an upper surface of the crown portion 17 and an elongate gutter 22 on an underside of the crown portion 17 may be provided to trap residual moisture carried by the air flow. Intermediate portion 18 may have a shallow concaved surface or may be multi-faceted such that the entire louvre 11 is swan-neck shaped and restricts rain from entering a building. Elongate formations 19, 20 on the crown portion 17 may be clipped into formations 14, 15 of a bracket 10. Louvres 11 may be spaced in an assembly such that it is not possible to see though the assembly. The assembly may be provided with a bird and/or insect screen. |
