PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature rise at a non-paper feeding portion of a heating device, and realize a high throughput of processing to the heated material of narrow width. SOLUTION: The heating device, which heats a heated material by clipping and transferring the heated material by a heating member for heating the heated material and a pressurizing member contacting the heating member, is provided with a conductive exothermic layer which induction heats the heated material and has a region with different thickness in width direction crossing nearly at right angles to the transferring direction of the heated material, an alternating magnetic field generating part which generates alternating magnetic field, and a control part which switches over the frequency of the alternating magnetic field and controls the induction heating at the exothermic layer for each region with different thickness.
