PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve NOx reduction by disturbing a nozzle surface laminar flow, and promoting the diffusion atomization of liquid fuel particles. SOLUTION: The downstream side of the fuel nozzle 1 arranged on the inner side of a mixing vessel 2 passed through with an air flow is arranged in the downstream side of a swirler 6. The fuel nozzle 1 forms a squirt hole injecting liquid fuel. The squirt hole has a surface flow formation suppressing property suppressing the formation of a surface flow along the nozzle surface of the fuel nozzle of a liquid fuel injection flow injected from the squirt hole. The surface flow formation suppressing property corresponds to a surface characteristic of the nozzle surface, and an injection characteristic of the liquid fuel flow. The surface characteristic and the injection characteristic increase a relative speed of the air flow and the liquid fuel flow. These characteristic are necessary for a relative speed of the air flow and the liquid fuel flow. The NOx reduction is achieved by disturbing the nozzle surface laminar flow, and promoting the diffusion atomization of the liquid fuel particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
