PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine capable of sufficiently ensuring an interval so as not to bring a wire hung on a hanger into contact with an upper body and, at the same time, preventing the hanger from being hindered in the case of working. SOLUTION: The construction machine is so constituted that a hanging bar mounting bracket 21 is provided to a frame 10 of the upper body 4, a hanging bar 23 longer than a width dimension W1 of a lower running body 2 and a width dimension W2 of the upper body 4 is mounted to the hanging bar mounting bracket 21 and that the wire 28 is hung on the front end section of the hanging bar 23. Accordingly, when a floor board chipping machine 1 is lifted up by using a crane or the like, the interval between the wire 28 and the upper body 4 can be sufficiently ensured. Accordingly, when the floor board chipping machine 1 is conveyed, the upper body 4 can be prevented from being damaged by bringing the wire 28 into contact with the upper body 4, etc. The hanging bar 23 can be removed from the hanging bar mounting bracket 21 when lifting work is not carried out, and the widths of the lower running body 2 and the upper body 4 are narrowed to enable workability to improve.
