PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair treating agent for enhancing effect of a hair conditioning agent, improving injury of the damaged hair, imparting softness and lubricating property to the hair, finishing the hair to the hair having good settlement and imparting persistency to these effects. SOLUTION: This hair treating agent comprises a gallic acid glycoside. The effects of the hair treating agent can be enhanced and injury of the damaged hair is improved and softness and lubricating property are imparted to the hair, and the hair is finished to good settlement, and these effects can be retained by using the hair treating agent used for hair treatment before using the hair conditioning agent after washing the hair by shampoo.
