PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal rubber cover for a tire molding drum excellent in mold releasability, lubricity and airtightness and capable of keeping these properties over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The seal rubber cover 1 for the tire molding drum, which is mounted on the recessed part 9 formed to the surface of the drum segment 3 of the expansible and contractible molding drum 2 to fix a tire bead part 7, is integrally formed into a ring shape from a silicone rubber and the breaking strength of the silicone rubber at a room temperature is set to 6.0-10.0 MPa and the tear strength thereof is set to 20-40 N/mm.
