The invention relates to a gas generator for filling an airbag of a vehicle. Said gas generator ( 1 ) can be integrated into the vehicle in such a way that it is electrically insulated from the same, and can be directly connected to the electrical earth of the vehicle, especially to a defined earth potential, by means of a separate earth connection ( 30, 31 ). The invention thus provides an improved earth connection of the gas generator.
