<p>The invention relates to producing low-density and heat-conductivity building materials, in particular granulated foam glass from unscreened glass wastes and makes it possible to reproducibly obtain a foam glass whose granules are substentially globular and have a specified size. Said method is low labour and energy consuming. Said result is attainable by using an initial raw mixture of an aqueous alkali sodium silicate solution in a quantity equal to or greater than 30-70 mass % and a waste glass powder having a random chemical composition in a quantity ranging from 25 to 65 mass %. The thus obtainable raw mixture is heat-treated in such a way that it is dehydrated and is used for producing a powder charge and the water dispersion thereof in the presence of plasticizers. The obtainable product is dried at a temperature of 450-500 °C, pelletised and aged at a foaming temperature ranging from 800 to 850 °C.</p> |
