<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate selection of an object intended by an operator when the operator accompanied by involuntary movement such as short and quick trembling selects the objective object from a plurality of objects displayed on a display screen by a pointing device. <P>SOLUTION: It is distinguished whether pointer operation is caused by the involuntary movement or voluntary movement from a movement situation of a position or speed of a pointer.
