PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens for projection capable of enhancing the optical performance, while making the lens compact. SOLUTION: The zoom lens for projection 6 is constituted of eight lenses, and the zoom lens includes a 1st lens group G1 arranged on the enlargement side, having negative refractive power, and a 2nd lens group G2 arranged on the reduction side, having positive refractive power. In the 1st lens group G1, negative lenses L11 and L12 are arranged, in this order starting from the magnifying side, and at least one surface of the negative lenses L11 and L12 is composed of an aspherical surface. In the 2nd lens group G2, positive lenses L21 and L22 are arranged in this order from the magnifying side, and at least one surface of the positive lenses L21 and L22 is composed of an aspherical surface.
