PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet easily mounted even in a narrow space formed between a mounting plate and a wall surface and facilitating work of attachment, parts replacement and inspection, or the like. SOLUTION: The faucet 1 is provided with a temperature regulating body 11 provided inside the mounting plate 2, and an operating member 41a provided on the surface side of the mounting plate 2 and linked with the temperature regulating body 11. A temperature regulating member 16 for regulating the mixing ratio of hot and cold water is held in the temperature regulating body 11 so as to be parallel with the mounting plate 2. The temperature regulating member 16 and the operating member 41a are formed with operating shafts 17, 26 linked with each other and arranged to be orthogonal to each other. A case body 51a is provided inside the mounting plate 2, and an interlocking mechanism 61a for transmitting the rotational force of the operating member 41a to the temperature regulating member 16 is mounted to the case body 51a.
