PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment outflow preventive drain filter capable of improving efficiency of installation work of a filtering member. SOLUTION: A base end part of an insertion part 13 is integrally formed on the outer peripheral edge of a cover part 12, and a slit 14 is formed in its insertion part 13. A locking tongue piece 16 for storing the filtering member 15 is integrally formed in a plurality of places on the outer peripheral edge of the cover part 12. A slit 17 is arranged between the respective locking tongue pieces 16. A tip part of the locking tongue pieces 16 is inclined so as to be displaced inside, and an interval W of the tip part of a pair of opposed locking tongue pieces 16 is set smaller than a diametral D dimension of the filtering member 15.
