摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine processing apparatus and a fine processing method in which fine processing is carried out using a photocatalytic material with a simple structure and a method of manufacturing a photocatalytic material formed body having excellent usefulness. SOLUTION: The fine processing apparatus has a processing action member comprising the formed body in which the fine particulate photocatalytic materials are dispersed and held in a matrix component and a light irradiation means. The processing action member is irradiated with exciting light in a state that the processing action member is close to or in contact with the surface of an object to be processed. The fine processing method is carried out by positioning the processing action member of the photocatalytic material formed body to be close to or in contact with the surface of the object to be processed and irradiating the processing action member with the exciting light. In the method of the photocatalytic material formed body, one having a structure oriented to one direction is obtained by drawing a molten body of a material composition containing titanium oxide and silicon oxide.
