<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for collecting a waste developer which can prevent erroneous operation of a user while securing a simple mechanism and operability. <P>SOLUTION: A discharge port shutter 210 is fixed to a collection container attaching part 220 with a fixing screw 240 when a developing device 2 is normally used. A collection container 300 is fixed to the collection container attaching part 220 by inserting a pawl 302 into an opening part 223a and a recessed part 224a. When the top end 302a is inserted into the recessed part 224, a film-like screw shielding member 400 is pressed to descend to expose the fixing screw 240. By unfastening the fixing screw 240 and pulling the discharge port shutter 210, a developer discharge port 200a formed in the bottom of the developing device 2 is opened. In this state, a developer conveying screw in the developing device 2 is rotated to discharge the conveyed waste developer to the outside through the developer discharge port 200a via the discharge slope 221 of the collection container attaching part 220 and to recover the developer in the collection container 300. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
