<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lens having high scratch resistance and adhesiveness with an antireflection layer, and to provide a coating liquid having a long pot life. <P>SOLUTION: For producing a lens in which a hardcoat layer is coated on a lens base material and then an organic antireflection film is formed thereon by a wet process, a coating liquid to be used for coating the hardcoat layer is prepared by adding a second component containing water, wherein the number of water molecules is 1.5-4.5 times the number of hydrolyzable groups in a silane compound, to a first component containing metal oxide particulates and a silane compound. It is possible to form the organic antireflection film by a wet process on the hardcoat layer from the coating liquid prepared by adding an excess amount of water in the range as described above, and thereby capable of producing a lens having sufficient scratch resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
