<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take out a coated optical fiber f from an optical cable without providing a notch N for taking out the coated optical fiber in the optical cable, in the optical cable for self-supported lead-in vertically adding a protection tape t on both the sides of the coated optical fiber f, in order to avoid disconnection damage of the optical fiber by insertion or the like of a laying egg tube of a cicada. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical fiber for the self-supported lead-in, a tear string T of high tension is adjacently added on both the ends of a widthwise direction of the coated optical fiber f sandwiched by the protection tape t, and they are covered with a cable sheath C<SB>1</SB>to compose an optical element E, and the sheath C<SB>1</SB>is divided into a front side and a rear side to expose and take out the coated optical fiber f by tearing both the ends of the widthwise direction of the sheath C<SB>1</SB>of the optical element E by the tear string T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
