PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music composition recording and reproducing device which can display music composition information simultaneously when a music composition, which has been recorded to a videotape, is reproduced. SOLUTION: A music composition voice conversion part 11 converts character data representing music composition information to analog voice signals. An analog voice recording part 17 amplifies the converted analog voice signals. A fixed voice head 4 writes the amplified analog voice signals to the linear audio tracks of a videotape. The analog voice recording part 17 transmits the analog voice signals obtained by the conversion and amplification of the music composition, as the music composition searching signal, to the fixed voice head 4 synchronously with the transmission of the FM voice signals at the head of the music composition by an FM voice recording part 15 to a rotary voice head 3. The fixed voice head 4 records program searching signals to a linear audio track area temporally corresponding to a tilt track area to which the FM voice signals at the head of the music composition are written.
