PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image retrieval method for easily extracting a person photographing image which is suitable for printing, and to provide its device and its program. SOLUTION: An image with the face of a person showed-up therein is extracted from a retrieval object image group. The face area of the person is extracted from the extracted image.
