PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a hydrogen fermentation apparatus provided with a hydrogen fermentation tank having raw material supplying equipment and agitation equipment, a gas pipe communicated with the hydrogen fermentation tank and a gas storage tank for storing the gas generated in the hydrogen fermentation tank that, when the partial pressure of hydrogen in the hydrogen fermentation tank is increased owing to the hydrogen gas produced in the hydrogen fermentation tank, a reversible reaction (intake of the hydrogen gas) is promoted, consequently, the production of the hydrogen gas (hydrogen fermentation) is restrained, and in some cases, a hydrogen fermentation reaction is stopped. SOLUTION: This hydrogen fermentation apparatus is provided with: a fermented liquid discharging pipe 4 arranged on the wall surface of the hydrogen fermentation tank 2; and siphon equipment 5 connected to the fermented liquid discharging pipe 4.
