PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device of a washing machine. SOLUTION: This clutch device of a washing machine includes: a washing shaft for transmitting turning power to a pulsator; a dehydrating shaft disposed to form a double shaft structure with the washing shaft on the outside of the washing shaft to transmit the turning power to a washing tub; and a spiral spring, one end of which is fixed to the washing shaft, the other end thereof being fixed to the hydrating shaft, to transmit the turning force of the washing shaft to the dehydrating shaft when it is made to closely adhere to one of the washing shaft and the dehydrating shaft by the rotation of the washing shaft, whereby the whole clutch structure is simplified, and further the washing shaft or the dehydrating shaft is provided with a friction member for generating the friction force when the spiral spring is expanded or contracted, whereby the abrasion of the washing shaft and the dehydrating shaft to which the spiral spring is made to closely adhere is reduced to efficiently transmit the power.
