PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a player that a game comes invalid when any real is not switched to be stopped after a predetermined time passes from the time when reels begins to rotate, the rotational speed of the reels becomes constant, or an arbitrary reel stops by stopping operation. SOLUTION: A rotating time monitoring method of the reel in a reel type game machine comprises a step giving an actuating signal to all rotation driving means and rotating and driving the reels when a start switch is operated, a step to stop the reel corresponding to a switch when the reel stop switch is operated, a step to measure that the predetermined time passes from the time when the reel begins to rotate, the rotational speed of the reel becomes constant, or an arbitrary reel stops by stopping operation, and a step displaying that the game is invalid in a displaying means when the stop switch of any reel is not operated when the predetermined time passes.
