A receiving apparatus provided in a mobile unit comprises a broadcast receiving part (2) for receiving broadcast radio waves; a position determining part (4) for determining the current position of the mobile unit to output current position information; a reception status determining part (5) for determining the channel of the broadcast radio waves being received by the broadcast receiving part (2) and also determining the reception status of those broadcast radio waves; an information generating part (6) for generating reception status information obtained by associating the information of the current position of the mobile unit determined by the position determining part (4) with the information of the channel and reception status of the broadcast radio waves determined by the reception status determining part (5); and a transmitting part (7) for transmitting the reception status information generated by the information generating part (6) to a managing apparatus that manages information about the channels and reception statuses of broadcast radio waves receivable at any positions.
