<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss when overcurrent of output current is detected. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device has multiple voltage converting means that are supplied with several alternating-current voltages or direct-current voltages, and respectively output stable and identical direct-current voltage. The power supply device is so constructed that the outputs of the several voltage converting means are connected in parallel, and direct-current voltage obtained at the point of the parallel connection is supplied to a load and the output current supplied to the load is divided to the several voltage converting means. To carry out overcurrent detection when the direct-current voltage is supplied from the point of parallel connection to the load, the added value of the currents passed through elements is used for current detection respectively provided in the several voltage converting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
