PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing body which establishes the compatibility between desirable fine pore structure and structural strength without using a resin for adhesion.
SOLUTION: The expansion-molded article 1 that constitutes this expansion-molded sound absorbing body is composed of numerous foam cells 11 obtained by heating and expanding foamable resin particles filled in a mold made up in a prescribed shape, and the neighboring foam cells 11 are combined with each other by softening and melting themselves at a contacting face 11a or the like. This expansion-molded article 1 is provided with a three-dimensional fine pore comprising an open pore formed by a space 12 surrounded at least by three pieces of the foam cells 11 being joined (the space 12 surrounded by five foam cells 11 are shown in Fig.) and occupies 10 to 40% in a volumetric porosity which is the ratio of the whole volume of the fine pores to the whole volume, and has a tearing strength of at least 0.16 MPa.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
