PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable operation of a dehydrator and realize operation in definite dehydration ratio by preventing clogging of a draining part caused by a gas hydrate. SOLUTION: Gas hydrate slurry obtained by mixing a gas hydrate with unreacted water is drained by a dehydrator 12 to produce the gas hydrate having low water content. The dehydrator 12 is composed of a vertical type cylindrical body 21 formed from an introduction part 18 for introducing gas hydrate slurry (s), a draining part 19 for dehydrating the unreacted water of the gas hydrate slurry and a lead-out part 20 for leading out the gas hydrate dehydrated in the draining part 19, and a removed water-collecting part 22 for collecting a filtrate separated from the gas hydrate in the draining part.
