PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist cooling device for uniformly cooling a high-temperature hot-rolled steel plate with mist. SOLUTION: In the mist cooling device of a hot-rolled steel plate, a steel plate of uniform material and excellent shape is obtained by using a cylindrical lower body having a throat part on the downstream side of a mist spray nozzle to perform the mist cooling, a cylindrical upper body having an air supply port on the upstream side and a water supply port in a circumferential part for providing mist, and a turning blade having at least three spiral through grooves of the diameter of at least 3 mm in the circumferential direction with the twist angle of 5-15°with respect to the nozzle axial direction between the lower body and the upper body to stabilize the shape of mist spray. In addition, one or a plurality of air supply ports having the diameter of 0.8-1.5 mm are provided above the mist spray nozzle, and a plurality of water supply ports having the diameter of≥3 mm are provided in a side of the nozzle so that the direction of the ports are off-centered in one direction with respect to the axis of the mist spray nozzle.
