<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system allowing the system itself to be thinned. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with: a box-like housing 12 having a bottom 20 with the side opposite to the bottom 20 opened; a flat discharge tube 14 arranged in the housing 12; a circuit unit 16 arranged in the housing 12 and on the side in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction (t) of the housing 12 by using the flat discharge tube 14 as a reference and connected to the flat discharge tube 14 through a wire; a globe 13 disposed so as to close the opening of the housing 12 and having translucency; a retainer 15 structured so as to be mounted to a through-hole formed in the inside bottom surface 20a of the housing 12 for supporting one end side of the flat discharge tube 14 in cooperation with the through-hole by being mounted to the through-hole; and a locking part 51 formed on the inside bottom surface 20a of the housing 12 for locking the end side opposite to the one end side of the flat discharge tube 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
