<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a system for detecting the oblique suction of a component sucked by a suction nozzle in an electronic component packaging apparatus at a low cost only by changing or adding software. <P>SOLUTION: By utilizing a phenomenon that the external dimensions of a component image expressing oblique suction are different from that of a component image expressing normal suction posture, oblique suction is detected. Concretely, a plurality of seeking lines S intersecting with the external line of a component image expressing previously supposed normal suction posture are set on symmetrical positions about the center line of the component image. Intersecting points between the external line of the component image having the normal suction posture and respective seeking lines S are stored as "ideal edge positions" and intersecting points between the external line of a practical component image and respective seeking lines S are recognized as "measured edge positions". By judging whether the total value of deviations between the measured edge positions of respective seeking lines S and the ideal edge positions is a judgment threshold or less, whether the suction posture of the component is "normal suction" or "oblique suction" is discriminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
