<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure device which enables a user to easily and quickly determine proper exposure while confirming a subject image displayed on a monitor device. <P>SOLUTION: When a subject image formed by a lens system is picked up by an imaging device and is displayed on a monitor device 11, the subject image OB is displayed in colors different by areas into which the brightness of a subject is classified by required steps, and a reference scale SS showing exposure references of color-classified brightness is displayed also.
