PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple fire protection construction excellent in fire resistance for a cable penetrating portion in a building.

SOLUTION: The fire protection construction for a cable penetrating portion in a building is obtained as follows: a fireproof partitioning material 9 is placed using fastening tools 13 each consisting of an anchoring member and a supporting member formed of a round bar or a square bar or directly without use of the fastening tools 13. The contacting faces or gap between the fireproof partitioning material 9 and a cable 3 is filled with a mill end 11 of the fireproof partitioning material or heat-resistant sealing material 10. Fire spread arresting agent 12 is applied to the surface of the cable.
