PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemodialysis apparatus capable of accurately detecting the detachment of a puncturing needle from a patient during hemodialysis treatment and suppressing the increase of the manufacture cost of a blood circuit which is a disposable article by monitoring the potential difference at a prescribed part while imparting a voltage to blood flowing through the blood circuit. SOLUTION: In the hemodialysis apparatus provided with an artery side blood circuit 1a, a vein side blood circuit 1b, a blood pump 3, a dialyzer 2, a dialyzer body 6 having a dialysis fluid introduction line L1 and a dialysis fluid discharge line L2, a voltage imparting means 5, a detection means 12 for detecting a potential and a monitoring means 15 for monitoring the detachment of the puncturing needle from the patient on the basis of the potential by the detection means 12, one electrode 5a of the voltage imparting means 5 is disposed between an artery side puncturing needle (a) in the artery side blood circuit 1a and the blood pump 3 and the other electrode 5b is disposed at the dialysis fluid discharge line L2.
