PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when a user performs a pair operation in reproducing data of cascade structure, data missing which is not desired by the user often occurs. SOLUTION: A computer system comprises a management server, a job server communicably connected to the management server, and a storage system communicably connected to the job server. The storage system includes a logical volume constituting a pair by data reproduction. The management server has a data management part for managing data stored in the logical volume and management information for managing the data stored in the logical volume and the pair. When the data management part receives a request for changing the state of the pair, it refers to the management information, specifies data to be lost from the logical volume by executing the change, and outputs information on the data to be lost.
