PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a somatometric device designing a suitable pillow for users. SOLUTION: The somatometric device M for pillow design is a somatometric device M measuring recess-projection status, at least along the head-to-hip direction, at the backside and the lateral side of human body, respectively, and is equipped with a displacement measuring section 110 and a lifting rod 103 moving the displacement measuring section 110 concerned up and down, while the displacement measuring section 110 concerned is configured with an arm 113, to which a roller-like measuring device 111 is fixed, acting a constant urging power toward the side, to which the measuring device is placed, a first detector detecting displacement of the displacement measuring section 110 to the lifting rod 103 and a second detector detecting displacement of the measuring device 111 to the displacement measuring section 110.
