PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slim monitor for projecting the face of a subject captured by a camera on an image display part with the complexion as real as possible without accentuating the shade. SOLUTION: The slim image display part 3 and a slim surface emitting illumination part 4 disposed in the peripheral edge of the image display part for illuminating the subject to be located in front of the image display part 3 are incorporated on one cabinet 2. The illumination part 4 emits light whose color temperature is 4,500-6,000 K. As the illumination part 4 is surface-emitting, too much shade is not generated in the subject L located in front of the image display part 3, that is, too much shade is not generated in the face image on the image display part 3.
