A process and device are disclosed for photovoltaically generating hydrogen from hydrogen-containing compounds. Solar light is concentrated by an optical concentrator onto solar cells and the resulting voltage is directly used for the electrolysis of a hydrogen-containing compound, in particular de-ionised water, in order to produce hydrogen. |
