<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium, with which an image excellent in resistance to washing and resistance to alcohols can be formed to a body to be transferred and a thermal transfer recording method employing the thermal transfer recording medium and a recording body, on which an image is transferred by the thermal transfer recording method. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer recording medium, a thermosensitive transferring layer includes a polymer of a monomer including a 4,4'-[oxybis(ethyleneoxy-p-phenylsulfone)] diphenol. By the thermal transfer recording method, the image is transferred to the body to be transferred with the thermal transfer recording medium.
