<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsifying or a suspending method permitting preparation of an emulsion or a suspension with a uniform particle size. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises mixing an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymer surfactant with a water-insoluble liquid, stirring with a stirrer to prepare an emulsion or a suspension, holding the emulsion or suspension between a pair of plates and causing at least one of the plates to rotate or swing at a determined angle. The simple method permits uniformalization of the particle size of the emulsion or suspension of the insoluble liquid and stable formation of emulsified or suspended particles with uniform particle size and is available in emulsification or suspension polymerization for manufacture of an emulsion composition or a polymer compound for e.g. foods and cosmetics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
