PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for generating discharge only by a bus electrode, and improving luminance and discharge efficiency. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a discharge cell divided by a barrier rib; an upper electrode and a lower electrode that are formed adjacent to the boundary of the discharge cell, and project in the direction of the boundary of the discharge after a first drive pulse is applied; a first center electrode that is positioned between the upper electrode and the lower electrode, allows a second drive pulse to be applied, and has a second projected electrode projecting in the direction of the center of the discharge cell; and a second center electrode that is positioned between the first center electrode and the lower electrode, allows the second drive pulse to be applied, and has a second projected electrode projecting in the direction of the center of the discharge cell.
