PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which uses a light source cover protecting a light source so as to arbitrarily change the direction of the emission of flash light reflected on the mirror body of the light source cover. SOLUTION: The stroboscope 15 is pivotally supported on a ring 14 rotatably fitted around the stroboscope 13 of an apparatus housing 10. The mirror body 15a is attached to the part of stroboscope 15 on which part flash light emitted from the stroboscope 13 can be made incident. The flash light reflected by the mirror body 15a is emitted toward the subject. The ring 14 is rotatable around the axis a of the flash light emitted from the stroboscope 13. This makes it possible to arbitrarily alter the angle at which the flash light emitted from the stroboscope 13 is made incident on the mirror body 15a.
