PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable operation of a dehydrator and realize operation in a definite dehydration ratio by preventing clogging of a draining part caused by a gas hydrate. SOLUTION: The method for producing the gas hydrate comprises reacting a raw material gas with water to produce a gas hydrate, mixing the gas hydrate with water to form gas hydrate slurry and dehydrating the slurry by a dehydrator to produce the gas hydrate having low water content. In the method for producing the gas hydrate, clogging of a draining part 19 is prevented by warming the draining part 19 of the dehydrator 12 at a prescribed temperature.
