PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress lowering of fluidity resulting from increase in the concentration of gas hydrate slurry. SOLUTION: In a handling apparatus (2) for gas hydrate for forming gas hydrate 49 of high concentration by concentrating or dehydrating gas hydrate slurry 39 formed by a reaction of a raw material gas with water, a water-repelling membrane is formed on the face (33, 35, 37) coming into contact with gas hydrate to reduce friction between gas hydrate and the contact surface.
