PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply ink in an ink bottle exhaustively to an ink jet recording head while preventing pigment component contained in the ink from reaching the ink jet recording head. SOLUTION: An ink storage container 7 for storing ink 2 temporarily and settling the pigment component while enlarging is provided in the ink supply passage between an ink bottle 1 and a reservoir tank 9.
