PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device capable of presenting the appearance of a continuous wall in the totally closed state of three sliding doors arranged in a line and dispensing with a large clearance for the insertion of a tool between the sliding doors and a door frame so that dust or the like hardly enters and work is facilitated. SOLUTION: The sliding door device is capable of closing three sliding doors arranged in a line and opening the three sliding doors to overlap in a front-rear direction. Upper parts of the sliding doors 1 are provided with upper runners 2 (21-23), and the door frame 4 is provided with an upper rail 5. A runner connecting member 28 for connecting the upper runner 2 to the upper end of the sliding door 1 is formed bent approximately in an L-shape, and the runner connecting member 28 is provided at the upper end of the sliding door 1 so that the upper runner 2 connected to the runner connecting member 28 is located projecting backward from the rear face of the sliding door 1. A vertical adjusting means comprising a vertical moving member 31 vertically moving within the sliding door 1 is provided, and the runner connecting member 28 is fixed to the vertical moving member 31.
