PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bow shape of a vessel capable of maintaining a propulsion performance in ordinary water, and reducing increase of resistance in ocean waves. SOLUTION: A bow profile 12 upper than below the load water line line 11 projects forward , and a bow valve 13 is installed under the load water line 11. Thus, the bow bulb 13 generates waves other than and prior to those generated by the hull so as to obtain a wave-generation resistance reducing effect for offsetting the waves generated by the hull and maintain a propulsion performance in ordinal water. Also, the bow profile 12 projects forward from under the load water line 11, so as to prevent ocean waves from abutting on the bottom face of the projected portion for reducing increase in the resistance in the ocean waves. A bow water line angle on the water surface is reduced while securing a loading place at the bow portion, so that increase of the resistance due to the ocean waves can be reduced.
