PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice grain injection device capable of realizing without useless smooth operation including the case of temporary stop. SOLUTION: The ice grain injection device 100 is provided with an ice-making means, piping 5 for collecting the ice grains 1 dropping from the ice-making means with a large funnel 4 and transferring them, a small funnel 5a formed to an inlet of the piping 5, a suction hose 5c, which is connected to the small funnel 5a, forms a part of the piping 5, and is installed with an elbow 5b and a gap X, an injection nozzle 10, which sucks the ice grains 1 collected by the large funnel 4 into the suction hose 5c with a negative pressure generated around a rapid flow of high-pressure water 9 and sprays them to a workpiece after mixing the ice grains 1 with the high-pressure water 9, an ice flow detecting means 80, which is arranged in the middle of the piping 5 and detects the presence or the absence of the ice grains 1 or a flow state of the ice grains 1, an ice flow shutoff actuator 30, which changes the flow of the ice grains 1 from an outlet 4b of the large funnel to the small funnel 5a and can eliminate generated ice, and a shutoff control means 40 for controlling shutoff operation of the ice flow shutoff actuator 30 corresponding to the detection output detected by the ice flow detecting means 80.
