PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent laundry loaded/unloaded to/from a drum from being easily caught at vicinity of the front opening part of the drum, allowing a user to scarcely feel heat even if the user's hand touches the front opening part of the drum, to reduce the number of components and the production cost. SOLUTION: The inside of a front side opening part 11a of a cylindrical shell part 11 in the drum 10 is provided with only a synthetic resin balance ring 41, and the balance ring 41 is integrally provided with a cloth catching prevention rib 46. The front opening part 47 of the drum 10 is constituted of synthetic resin.
