The fire extinguishing pistol comprises a body (11) which through the operation of an operating lever (12) around a pivot point moves a spindle with a sealing piston from a sealing seat to release extinguishant. The assembly of the operating lever and handgrip (13) is angled in relation to the body and so enables an operation as with a hand fire extinguisher. The movement of the operating lever around its pivot point, the spring, the spindle with the sealing piston, and the sealing seat, are not altered.
