There is provided a noise removing device capable of highly compressing a dark current noise component and storing it while maintaining the characteristic that a plenty of high-frequency components are contained. From a dark current noise component of at least some pixels, a noise distribution analysis unit (10) acquires the distribution of the size and calculates a threshold value and a representative value of quantization according to the distribution. According to the calculated threshold value, a quantization unit (12) quantizes the dark current noise component. A memory (14) stores the quantized dark current noise component. For the quantized dark current noise component stored in the memory (14), a reverse quantization unit (16) reverse-quantizes the dark current noise component while referencing the representative value calculated by the noise distribution analysis unit (10). The dark current noise component subjected to the reverse quantization is inputted to a subtraction unit (18), where the dark current noise component subjected to the reverse quantization is subtracted from an image signal.
