FIELD: metallurgy; application of multi-layer protective coats; welding, soldering and holding of molten metal at melting and casting. ^ SUBSTANCE: coat includes metal layer-base, adhesive layer and protective layer which consists of two precoats: inner and outer; each precoat has composition structure and ceramic matrix and filler. Matrix of inner precoat is made in form of rigid skeleton whose pores contain filler. Solid particles of outer precoat matrix which have no rigid bonding with one another are located in filler layer. In particular cases, matrix of inner precoat is made from oxide of zirconium or gadolinium; used as filler is material on base of aluminum, chromium and phophorus oxides. Filler of outer precoat is made from material which is thermoplastic at operating temperature. ^ EFFECT: enhanced protection against liquid metal corrosion during protracted contact with molten metal for complicated surfaces at small curvature radii. ^ 4 cl, 2 dwg
